Putting infrared heaters in a bathroom is basically like inviting a fight with steam and moisture. Since water and electricity don’t get along, any gap in your insulation is just asking for a short circuit or a tripped breaker. Dealing with the Damp

The Heat Stress Problem
Infrared lamps go from cold to scorching in a matter of seconds. That kind of thermal shock can snap cheap seals right in half. We use materials that expand and contract at the same rate. That way, when the lamp hits peak temperature, the waterproof seal stays tight instead of gapping open. And a pro tip: stick with IPX4 rated housings or better. The lamp creates the heat, but the fixture is what actually keeps the water away from the terminals.
Finding the Sweet Spot
It’s tempting to go for the highest wattage possible to get that instant warmth, but there’s a catch. More power means more heat stress on the insulation. If you cram a high-wattage lamp into a tight, waterproof box, you might actually melt your own wiring. It’s all about balance. You need enough heat to feel cozy, but enough airflow to keep the electrical junctions from overheating. Just make sure you’re using heat-resistant cabling. It’s a small detail, but it’s the difference between a warm bathroom and a melted mess.
